Alexandra Spigelman, LMFT
Alexandra (Alex) is a Marriage & Family Therapist practicing in Los Angeles, CA. Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, CA. During her time in graduate school she received comprehensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the prestigious Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, California. While there, she treated children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of psychological issues and worked in various modalities – individuals, groups, families, as well as facilitating parenting groups. Alex also has experience with alcohol and substance abuse, having worked at a treatment facility.
Alexandra’s professional philosophy is based on a treatment style with an emphasis on individuals developing awareness, insight, and an understanding of who they are as they interact in the world. Throughout the individual’s therapeutic journey, Alexandra provides the tools that facilitate growth, strength, mindfulness, and the development of healthy coping skills that ultimately lead to discovering meaning in purpose. She approaches her work through the creation of a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space.
